SDM Protocols: Leadership Structure
Sunshine Destiny Ministries (SDM) operates on a clear and disciplined leadership structure designed to uphold order, accountability, and spiritual excellence across all ministry expressions. This structure ensures that every individual understands their role, authority, and responsibilities within the SDM Framework, enabling the ministry to function with clarity, honour, and unity.
The SDM Leadership Structure is built on three primary tiers: Member, Worker, and Leader. Each tier carries distinct expectations and levels of engagement.
1. Tier One: Member
Definition:
A Member is any individual who participates in SDM gatherings, programs, or learning platforms without holding responsibilities in ministry execution. Members are part of the community but not yet entrusted with operational or leadership duties.
Protocols & Expectations:
Participate with the right spirit of honour, unity, and teachability.
Follow SDM guidelines, protocols, and ethics during all SDM activities.
Maintain respect for SDM’s leadership structure and spiritual covering.
Avoid engaging in ministry actions (teaching, counselling, leading groups, praying for people publicly, representing SDM externally) unless formally appointed.
Uphold good Christian conduct and represent SDM’s culture of integrity.
Purpose of This Tier:
To provide a safe, structured environment for individuals to grow spiritually, understand SDM’s DNA, and discern their calling before progressing to deeper involvement.
2. Tier Two: Worker
Definition:
A Worker is a recognised individual who assists in executing ministry tasks under the supervision of an SDM Leader. Workers provide operational support but do not carry authority to make decisions or represent SDM independently.
Protocols & Expectations:
Serve faithfully in assigned roles (e.g., admin support, ushering, logistics, media, hospitality, coordination).
Operate strictly within delegated instructions—no self-assigned ministry activities.
Maintain confidentiality, responsibility, and punctuality in all assignments.
Demonstrate spiritual maturity, consistency, and reliability.
Uphold SDM standards in communication, presentation, and behaviour.
Comply with all SDM policies, event protocols, and instructions from appointed leaders.
Purpose of This Tier:
To build competency, faithfulness, and experience, preparing individuals for greater responsibilities within SDM if recommended by leadership.
3. Tier Three: Leader
Definition:
A Leader is an officially appointed and recognised individual who carries responsibility over people, programs, or ministry functions within the SDM Framework. Leaders are entrusted with decision-making authority and are accountable to the SDM Core Leadership.
Protocols & Expectations:
Lead with integrity, clarity, and alignment to SDM doctrines, culture, and vision.
Provide guidance, mentoring, and spiritual support within their assigned area.
Make decisions only within their authorised scope and escalate matters appropriately.
Ensure all activities and communications under their oversight follow SDM standards.
Maintain disciplined personal conduct, prayer life, and ministry excellence.
Represent SDM in external environments only when authorised by SDM leadership.
Submit monthly updates, ministry progress, and any concerns to the SDM oversight chain.
Purpose of This Tier:
To ensure proper governance, safeguarding, accountability, and consistent spiritual direction across all SDM branches, initiatives, and communities.
Why the Tiers Matter
The three-tier system ensures:
Clear boundaries of responsibility
Protection against misuse of title, authority, or ministry actions
A progressive pathway for growth and development
Harmonised leadership flow across all SDM communities
Order, unity, and spiritual covering consistent with SDM’s values
