SDM DOCTRINAL VALUES

SUNSHINE DESTINY MINISTRIES (SDM)

DOCTRINAL VALUES

1. The Holy Scriptures – The Final Authority of God’s Revelation

We believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.

It is God-breathed and reveals His will for humanity.

The Scriptures carry absolute authority over doctrine, conduct, lifestyle, ministry, and spiritual governance.

SDM upholds the Word of God as the foundation of all teachings, prophetic operations, and ministerial practices within the ministry.

2. The One True God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

We believe in one eternal God who exists in three co-equal Persons:

God the Father, the Source of all life and the One who initiates His salvation plan.

God the Son, Jesus Christ, the Savior and Redeemer.

God the Holy Spirit, the Comforter and Empowerer.

These Three are One—equal in power, nature, and glory—working in perfect unity to accomplish God’s redemptive purposes on earth and in the lives of believers.

3. The Lord Jesus Christ – The Center of Our Faith

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the second Person of the Trinity, eternally existent with the Father.

He was manifested in the flesh through the virgin birth, lived a sinless life, ministered with power and compassion, and willingly offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for humanity’s sins.

He was crucified, died, and rose again on the third day with a glorified body.

He ascended to heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father, interceding for believers.

He will return again in glory to establish His eternal kingdom.

In SDM, Jesus Christ is the foundation, message, and purpose of all ministry work.

4. The Holy Spirit – Empowerment for Life and Ministry

We believe the Holy Spirit is a divine Person who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment.

He regenerates believers, seals them unto salvation, and empowers them for godly living and effective ministry.

The Holy Spirit produces spiritual fruit, imparts spiritual gifts, and provides divine guidance for personal decisions and ministry direction.

SDM places strong emphasis on Spirit-led leadership, Spirit-empowered service, and Spirit-directed prophetic flow.

5. The Salvation of Humanity – By Grace Through Faith

We believe salvation is God’s gift, accomplished through the finished work of Jesus Christ at Calvary.

Anyone who repents of sin and places their faith in Christ receives forgiveness, spiritual rebirth, and eternal life.

Salvation is not earned by works but results in a transformed life that reflects Christ’s character.

SDM believes every believer must pursue spiritual growth, discipleship, and alignment with God’s personal calling.

6. Ordinances of the Church – Baptism & Holy Communion

We believe water baptism symbolizes identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection, marking a believer’s public confession of faith.

Holy Communion is a sacred ordinance instituted by Christ for all believers to remember His sacrifice and proclaim His second coming.

SDM encourages all believers to participate meaningfully and reverently in these ordinances as part of their spiritual formation.

7. The Church – God’s Universal and Local Expression of His Kingdom

We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, consisting of all who are born again.

Christ is the Head of the Church, and every believer is placed within the Body with purpose and function.

Local churches exist to equip, nurture, and mobilize believers for ministry and mission.

SDM works alongside churches, ministries, and kingdom networks to fulfill God's global mandate.

8. The Five-Fold Ministry – God's Governmental Structure for Equipping the Saints

We believe Christ has given apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to equip the saints for the work of ministry, mature the Church, and bring believers into alignment with God’s call.

SDM recognizes the importance of balanced five-fold leadership for:

  • Doctrinal stability
  • Prophetic clarity
  • Spiritual empowerment
  • Ministry direction
  • Personal calling affirmation

This is central to SDM’s Framework of Affirm, Equip, Confirm.

9. Gifts and Manifestations of the Holy Spirit – Active and Operational Today

We believe the gifts of the Spirit—such as prophecy, healing, wisdom, knowledge, miracles, tongues, and discernment—are active today and essential for building the Body of Christ.

SDM embraces the proper use of spiritual gifts for:

  • Strengthening believers
  • Confirming divine direction
  • Edifying the Church
  • Empowering ministry assignments
  • Advancing God’s kingdom agenda

We encourage operation of gifts with order, humility, clarity, and biblical accountability.

10. Holy Living and Godly Character – The Evidence of Transformation

We believe Christians are called to live in holiness, integrity, purity, and love.

Holy living is the evidence of genuine conversion and commitment to Christ.

Believers must pursue spiritual maturity, discipline, and character development.

SDM upholds high standards of personal conduct, ministerial accountability, and ethical behavior for all leaders and members.

11. The Prophetic Mandate – A Core Identity of SDM

We believe God speaks to His people today through the Holy Spirit, Scriptures, dreams, visions, and prophetic utterances.

The prophetic is not optional in SDM — it is part of our spiritual DNA and divine mandate.

The prophetic ministry functions to:

  • Reveal God’s heart and will
  • Guide individuals in their spiritual assignments
  • Affirm callings and giftings
  • Confirm God’s timing and direction
  • Strengthen and align the Church

However, the prophetic must always operate in alignment with Scripture, humility, and spiritual accountability.

12. The Second Coming of Christ – Our Blessed Hope

We believe Jesus Christ will return visibly and gloriously to establish His kingdom.

Believers look forward to His coming with joy, hope, and readiness.

SDM teaches the importance of living with expectation, faithfulness, and commitment to God’s kingdom work until He returns.

13. Eternal Destiny – Life Beyond This World

We believe in the resurrection of the righteous to eternal life with God and the resurrection of the lost to eternal separation from God.

Heaven and hell are real and eternal.

This conviction fuels SDM’s passion for evangelism, missions, discipleship, and prophetic alignment.
